Metallica Congratulate Retired New York Yankees Pitcher Mariano Rivera on Hall of Fame Election

Sports! They are a subject about which I know and care muchly.

So I was very excited to learn that retired New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera was unanimously elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame this week. And that is news I 100% knew on my own and did not have to Google in order to write this post.

Metallica also care about sports, and were also excited to learn about the honor bestowed upon Mr. Rivera. Presumably this because they’re friends with Scott Ian from Anthrax, who is a Yankees fan.

Oh. Actually it’s probably because Rivera used “Enter Sandman” as his entrance music for years. Of course I knew that without looking it up. I was just kidding about the Scott Ian thing, you guys.

ANYWAY, Metallica took a moment out of their busy schedule to make a video congratulation Rivera on his achievement. You can watch it below. If for no other reason, you should check it out because Vince is a Mets fans. I know a lot of you enjoy making us cranky.
