Megadeth Announce Impending Announcement

Megadeth have released the below video, teasing some kind of Megadevelopment for this coming Friday, January 11:

The track playing in the background is, of course, “Take No Prisoners,” leading some fans to speculate the announcement could be about a Rust in Peace reissue.

Thing is, Dave Mustaine has already reissued Rust in Peace, in 2004, with the de rigeur remix, remaster, and bonus tracks. Granted, that was fifteen years ago already, but still, unless Dave has been sitting on even more bonus material which he’s now ready to unveil, I can’t see how he’d get fans to buy this album a third time, regardless of its overall quality or important place in metal history.

Having said that, he could easily have more bonus material in the Megavault.
