Yashira Drummer Seth Howard Killed in Head-On Car Crash
Yashira drummer Seth Howard was killed in a car crash last night (December 29th), according to Jacksonville, FL’s WJXT News 4. He was just 24 years old.
Not much is known about the incident at the moment. WJXT reports that Howard was driving north on SW State Road 231 at 11:20pm last night when he crossed the center median and struck another vehicle head-on. Howard died of his injuries, while the driver of the other car and his passenger — Antonio and Neymar Flaherty — were both taken to UF Heath Gainesville with serious injuries.
Yashira are near and dear to MetalSucks’ hearts, having participated in our Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks program in 2016. The band has been gaining traction in the metal world ever since, especially with their 2018 full-length release Shrine (on which Howard’s performance is absolutely phenomenal).
On behalf of everyone here, we wish Seth’s bandmates, family and friends all the best during this devastatingly difficult time.
