Brendon Urie Shares Metal Version of Panic! At the Disco Song “The Calendar”

0

Last week Panic! at the Disco frontman Brendon Urie made headlines when he said in an interview that he wanted “to do a metal project,” and he threatened to assault good-natured earholes everywhere by releasing a 90-second version of the band’s song “The Calendar” he said he’d recorded some years back.

Urie made good on his threat over the weekend during a Twitch stream, playing the metal rendition of the song while standing up, headbanging, and doing mock moshpit moves on camera. Urie says that the metal version of “The Calendar” was recorded in 2010, and it sounds like it, with late-stage metalcore breakdown riffs galore.

You can check that out below along with the original… and despite not being a Panic! at the Disco fan I think I prefer the latter! It’s catchy, whereas the metal version is just silly. Enjoy.
