Atreyu to Become First Metal Band to Brand Beer, the Drink They Invented

Atreyu, inarguably the inventors of metalcore, have teamed up with a company called Noble Ale Works to create a new beverage, Atreyu Superhero Dipa with Orange Zest. The drink will apparently be a “beer,” which is an alcoholic fluid brewed from grains. Weird!

Says vocalist Alex Varkatzas in a statement:

“We’ve been fermenting barely. There isn’t any other drink like what we’re doing. We invented beer. That may sound cocky but I don’t care. I’ve been doing this since I was literally 12 years old.”

The PRP reports that “A special can release party will take place at the Noble Ale Works Brewery in Anaheim, CA this Sunday, December 16th, with the band due to be in attendance.” Details can be found below.
