Rob Scallon Takes Pick Scraping to Its Logical Extreme

When I first pressed play on Rob Scallon’s new video entitled “Taking Pick Scraping Too Far” — pick scraping being the visceral guitar effect popularized by Morbid Angel and Gojira that’s created by dragging the pick against the strings — my initial reaction was, “Man, he didn’t really take pick scraping that far — this is pedestrian!” But I never should have doubted in Scallon, for only a few moments later things started getting progressively more and more gnarly until… well, you’ll see.
