Ted Cruz Responds to Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor: “#FakeNews”

Try not to be shocked, but it turns out the conservative dipshit senator from Texas is not a fan of Trent Reznor or Nine Inch Nails.

At the band’s show in Dallas earlier this week, Reznor poked fun at Ted Cruz from the stage, telling the crowd “he was bugging to get on the guest list, and I told him to fuck off” and claiming that Cruz “drank all the beer” when Reznor put him on the guest list a few years back. Reznor asked for the house lights to be brought up so he could see who voted for Cruz by a show of hands.

That, of course, was all a joke, but Cruz has now taken to Twitter to seize on the publicity in a half-baked, old man attempt at being funny. Here’s his response:

“To all the gullible reporters who are ‘reporting’ that I asked to be on the guest list at a Nine Inch Nails concert: uh, no, NIN is not my music taste. He was clearly joking. And for the record, I also didn’t ‘drink all his beer’ the last time…but I would have! #FakeNews

While Ted’s lame attempt at humor is eye-roll-worthy, the real headline here is that he reads The Daily News. LOL!
