Corey Taylor Thinks Knows That Slipknot Will Enter the Studio in January
We’ve known for some time that Slipknot are planning to release a new album in 2019. But now Corey Taylor, the band’s frontman and the pinnacle of human achievement to date, has stated on the record that the band is entering the studio in January:
No no- 2019. That’s what I said. Recording in Jan. Album out middle of 2019.

So if you were all worried that there might not actually be a new Slipknot record next year, despite the release of a new single, the announcement of a European tour, and, of course, the incredible honor of playing the Iowa State Fair, you can now rest assured that this is definitely happening for really reals.
Taylor previously said that he thinks the record will contain “our heaviest song” to date. Meanwhile, Clown revealed that the album will be about “good vs. evil, or in this sense, evil vs. good.” We’re still not 100% sure what that means.
