Buckcherry Avenge Ted Cruz with Lousy Cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Head like a Hole”
Earlier this week, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor revealed (or joked, at least) that he had denied Ted Cruz entry to a Texas show, telling the crowd that “[Cruz] might be here tonight, he was bugging to get on the guest list, and I told him to fuck off” because “We put him on [the guest list] a few years ago, he drank all the beer, and was just a pain in the ass to be around.”
Now the late-’90s glam band Buckcherry have struck back at Reznor on behalf of Senator Cruz via a mediocre cover of the classic Nine Inch Nails anthem “Head like a Hole.” At least, I assume that’s why Buckcherry released the cover. I can’t imagine any Reznor admirer putting it out as a tribute to the man.
Buckcherry’s Nine Inch Nails’ “Head like a Hole” will appear on the band’s new album, Warpaint (not to be confused with The Black Crowes record of the same name), which is out March 8. You know it’s gonna be a great album because they released a friggin’ cover as the first single.
