Tool Guitarist Adam Jones’ Home Has Been Spared by California Wildfires
Several notable members of the metal community have been evacuated due to the wildfires that are currently raging in both Northern and Southern California. Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst’s home was destroyed while Tool guitarist Adam Jones and his family were forced to leave but, as of Sunday, were unsure of the status of their home.
A huge sigh of relief, as Jones posted on Instagram yesterday that his home has been spared. Jones found out the news from helicopter footage aired on a local TV news report, and thanked the fire department for their brave and heroic work containing the blaze:
“#KTLA Helicopter footage of Malibu as of this morning* Korin & I were overjoyed to see that our home & property had indeed been saved ???????? My neighbors said the fires ran behind from the highway to the ocean during Friday night &
FD Ground & Air kicked total ass •Thank you???????????????????????? •
Many homes on the opposite side of the highway are damaged or gone ????
We are truly TRULY lucky”
Unfortunately another member of the metal community was not as lucky. While you may not know the name Dan Rozenblum, he has worked tirelessly behind the scenes as a booking agent for many of the biggest bands in metal for nearly two decades at Thunderdome Touring, The Pantheon Agency, The Agency Group, Circle Talent and most recently 33 & West representing Converge, Napalm Death, Whitechapel, The Black Dahlia Murder and many, many more. Dan, his wife Sandra and his 9-year-old daughter lost their home to the fires, and a GoFundMe has been launched to help them cover everyday necessities that insurance won’t. Gift cards to Target, Amazon, etc. are also encouraged as a form of donation with information for how you can deliver those to Dan on the GoFundMe page. Please donate if you can.
Wishing you all the best, Dan, and as quick a journey as possible to get back on your feet.
