Ozzy Osbourne is Now Fully Recovered from Surgery for Hand Infection
Staph infections are killers, man! Literally. If you let one fester for too long, the infection can seep into the blood stream and spread throughout the body. According to a study released earlier this year, 119,000 people die every year in the U.S. from drug-resistant strains of staph (of 1.2 million infected yearly).
Thankfully Ozzy didn’t bite the dust after contracting staph in early October, although he did have to reschedule four shows and eventually postpone them until next summer. The old coot is alive and well, and even posted a video message saying as much, which you can watch below. I was expecting the usual unintelligible garble, but instead every word is understandable — disappointing!
Ozzy will be back on the stage for this year’s edition of Ozzfest, which will take place on New Year’s Eve in L.A. and will also feature performances by Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson and more.
