Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine Wants a Megadeth Cover Band for Megadeth Karaoke for the Megadeth Cruise

After years of listening to Dave Mustaine warble off-key in concert, Megadeth fans may soon have the opportunity to turn the tables and make Mustaine listen while they butcher his music.

In a new interview with Eddie Trunk, the Megamastermind reveals that Megadeth are working on “many other fun things to do” on next year’s Megacruise, beyond just watching the bands (which will include not just Megadeth but also Anthrax, Testament, Corrosion of Conformity, DevilDriver, John 5, and more). And one of those “other fun things to do” just may be a “whole karaoke thing we’re gonna try and pull off… we’re gonna try and find a cover band that does Megadeth songs and let people go out there and just sing them.”

So that’s a neat idea. I hope they don’t actually limit it to Megadeth songs, though. It would be fun to sing the other bands’ songs, too, especially if any members of those groups are present for the karaoke sesh. Who knows? Maybe this is how Anthrax find their fifth vocalist!
