SOM (Constants, Junius, etc) Premiere Debut Single “Open Wounds”

If you’re in a place that has seasons, you’ll probably agree that this is the time of year for chilled out tunes with hints of sadness. Current and former members of Constants, Adai, Junius, Rosetta, and Caspian have gotten together to form a new group, SOM, that’s perfect for laying in a pile of leaves while quietly pondering everywhere you went wrong in life.

The post-metal trio play a spacey, serene breed of atmospheric rock, with the nostalgia and melancholy of shoegaze floating over a wall of fuzz.  Melodic but sincere vocals complete the package, leaving us with a bittersweet numbness. The first single from their upcoming debut album, “Open Wounds” can be streamed below, which features a visualizer by Josh Graham, who has also done live visuals for Neurosis.
