Exclusive Track Premiere: Hate Storm Annihilation’s “The Devil Exists”
Death metal fans can be forgiven for not knowing who Hate Storm Annihilation were when they opened for Morbid Angel this past spring. Up until now, they’ve only had one album — 2014’s Storm of Flames — which they self-released. But we here at MetalSucks strongly suspect that after the release of their sophomore effort, Following the Path to Eternal Fire, no one will ever have to ask “Who are Hate Storm Annihilation?” again.
Because Following the Path to Eternal Fire is just an album — it’s the Chicago trio kicking down the door and announcing their arrival in a big, bad way. It’s technical, progressive, pummeling, as epic as fuck. It’s also the kind of album which insists you listen to it: roughly seventeen seconds into “The Devil Exists,” the first proper song on the album (following intro “Track Zero”), a labyrinthine riff that sounds like a drunken lunatic pulling human nerves kicks in, and at that point, you will most surely be hooked. And believe it or not, the music only gets better from there.
So do yourself a favor: scroll down and listen to “The Devil Exists,” which MetalSucks is only too thrilled to be debuting today. Following the Path to Eternal Fire comes out October 31. Pre-order it here! Trust us, you will NOT regret it!!!
