Earth Ship’s New Album Resonant Sun: Full Stream Available Now!
Berlin sludge/stoner/doom trio Earth Ship have been making headway for themselves in the abounding world of fuzzy tones and nasty riffs. While we haven’t talked about them much here since the build-up to 2014’s heavy-hitter Withered, they’ve been keeping plenty busy in the studio, releasing Hollowed in 2016 and anther new record on the way.
The new album, Resonant Sun, is jam-packed with as much bluesy groove as anyone could possibly handle. While it doesn’t come on quite as strong as Withered, Resonant Sun shines in a more mellow, refined and toned-down way. The band comments on the album:
“It’s time for us to unleash our fifth record Resonant Sun, the consequence of countless hours on the road & intoxicated madness. We’re pumped with the outcome – and think we’ve managed to strip it down to the raw essence of what the band has become.
“Drawing inspiration from opposites – Resnoant Sun will take you on a hard-boiled trip through a vast array of emotional oddities. We can’t wait to finally show you this filthy, fuzz-laden doom monster and hope that you’ll love it as much as we do.
“Go let the fuzz take you!”
Resonant Sun is out this Friday, October 5th, but you can stream it below right meow. The CD version comes with an exclusive bonus track and a cover of “Children Of The Revolution“ by T-Rex will be available digitally only. Pre-order over here.
