Monuments Unveil Catchy Third Single “Mirror Image”

Third time’s a charm? Despite not being swayed one way or the other by Monuments’ first two singles from their forthcoming album (nor their career body of work as a whole), I’m feeling “Mirror Image,” their latest track release. The mid-paced grove, the relatively low quotient of djentiness, Chris Barretto’s strong vocal performance, some nifty guitar leads and, most importantly, THE SONG itself — I dig. I’ve spent a ton of time talking about this over the years, but good songwriting really trumps all; write a great hook (be it vocal, a riff, or even a unique drum beat) and you’ll usually come out a winner.
