Maximum the Hormone Released a Seven-Minute Song and Music Video About Signing a New Label Deal
Japanese metal/rock/punk weirdos and perennial MetalSucks faves Maximum the Hormone have signed a new record contract, and they’ve chosen to let fans know… by releasing a seven-minute music video about it.
We’re taking MetalSucks reader Philip W.’s word for it here since everything is in Japanese, but according to him the song is called “Haikei VAP-dono” (“Dear Sirs, VAP,” according to Google Translate), a reference to the Japanese record label / entertainment company VAP, the band’s former home. Indeed, the phrase “VAP” is displayed over and over in the video, which appears to have been released as a joke for the sole purpose of announcing the band’s move to a new company. What that new label is we couldn’t tell you, but more importantly Philip informs us that Maximum the Hormone will release the first official single from their next album in November.
