Metallica Perform “No Leaf Clover” Live for the First Time in Seven Years, Lars Ulrich Wears a Turban to an Indian Wedding
“No Leaf Clover” is notable for being arguably the best song Metallica wrote between the releases of The Black Album and Hardwired. So of course the band rarely plays it live. Hey, gotta make sure there’s room for the world’s best song about gasoline, right?
So Minneapolis fans who got to see the band play the song for the first time in seven years last week should count themselves lucky — some of us have actually been made to sit through “Frantic” live, for fuck’s sake. Fortunately, ‘Tallica have released pro-shot footage of the performance, so the rest of us can get something out of it.
Meanwhile, Lars Ulrich and his wife, model Jessica Miller, attended the wedding of former Dropbox CEO Sujay Jaswa and Dr. Eleni Greenwood this past weekend (there’s still some stuff on their registry if you feel like buying them a $415 saucer or $275 plate), and Lars wore a pink turban to the ceremony. I don’t know why that’s news, but Blabbermouth reported it so yeah.
Here’s photographic evidence of the blessed event:
