Reaction Video: The Ocean, “Permian: The Great Dying”

We’re back with another new episode of Metal Reacts Only, the weekly show in which host Jon Weigell listens to a brand new metal track for the first time and shares his thoughts and reactions.

This week Jon tackles The Ocean’s new ten-minute opus, “Permian: The Great Dying,” the first track to be released from the prog collective’s upcoming album Phanerozoic I: Palaezoic. Where does The Ocean’s latest sonic adventure take them this time around?

Phanerozoic I: Palaezoic comes out on November 2nd via Metal Blade and can be pre-ordered here. It is the first part of a double album, the second of which will be released in 2020.
