Video: Young Ladies Perform Metal on China’s Version of The Voice

I have to apologize upfront for the lack of intel I have on these videos from Sing! China, which is that country’s version of the reality singing competition The Voice. The reader who so kindly sent us the videos, Jens S., didn’t provide a lot of information, and Google translate is being terribly unhelpful. Like, I can’t even tell you the names of the Babymetal-loving contestants in these videos. I think one of them may be named Li Jiadan, but that’s just a semi-educated guess.

Still, even without the basics, this is pretty entertaining. Various international versions of The Voice, like the ones from Québec and Finland, have been kind to contestants utilizing metal in the past. Kinda makes me wonder why the producers don’t start a new show that’s exclusive to metal. They could call it The Scream or The Growl or something.
