Dragonlord Release Chilly New Music Video “Northlanders” (feat. Testament’s Eric Peterson)
Testament guitarist Eric Peterson is gearing up for the long-awaited release from his symphonic black metal side project, Dragonlord. Their third album, following up 2005’s Black Wings of Destiny, is titled Dominion, and explores the classic themes of dark fantasy from Nordic mythology to Lord of the Rings.
Metal Injection aptly described Dragonlord’s latest tunes as what the new Dimmu Borgir should’ve sounded like. If you happened to be one of the many recently disappointed Dimmu Borgir fans, give Dragonlord’s music video for “Northlanders” a shot. There’s corpse paint, there’s fantasy, there’s cheese. What more could you need? Peterson commented on “Northlanders:”
“This is one of the first songs I wrote for the Dominion album, way back when the History Channel first put out Vikings, which it’s clearly inspired by! While I wish I had a Vikings-level budget for this music video, I actually love how this video came out because it encompasses what black metal is all about – grit and straightforward rawness!”
Make sure you don’t skip out on actually watching the video — it’s a fucking treasure. When you’re done, pre-order Dominion here, out September 21st via Spinefarm records.
