Benighted Announce New EP, Release New Song
Benighted’s new EP is called Dogs Always Bite Harder Than Their Master, which is a very broad generalization. It actually makes me wonder if I can or cannot bite harder than my dog, who is a whopping eighteen pounds. I mean, I’m not gonna bit him to find out or anything. I just can’t really imagine that he can bite harder than I can.
Is this question at all relevant to the EP, or the first single from that EP, “Martyr”? No, but the song is so goddamn generic as to leave us little else to discuss. Have you heard any core-based death metal song in the past ten years? Mazel tov, you’ve heard “Martyr,” too.
Dogs Always Blah Blah Blah comes out October 12. It includes three previously unreleased tracks — including one featuring Aborted’s Sven and Der Weg Einer Freiheit’s Nikita — plus a cover of At the Gates’ “Slaughter of the Soul,” plus some live shit. Huzzah.
