Meanwhile, the band’s former manager, Jeff Kawtinetz, has now publicly stated that Devan Davis died of a drug overdose:
My thoughts and prayers go out to one of my closest friends and a truly great human who I love, Jonathan davis, on the death of his wife from an OD. I pray for his kids and family. I knew Deven and no one deserves to struggle w addiction and die. Too often, too much!

At the time of her death, Devan had reportedly gone missing from a sober house, where she was continuing a decades-long battle with addiction. Furthermore, a recent restraining order filed by Jonathan Davis on behalf of himself and the two sons he shared with Devan is said to have alleged that she’d recently been dating a drug dealer, and that he had found various illicit substances and drug paraphernalia in Devan’s home.
The thoughts of the staff here at MetalSucks continue to be with Deven and Jonathan’s families, friends and bandmates.
