Don’t Catch “The Sickness” from This Disturbed Parody Film
Disturbed’s enduring legacy will always be these three things: “oooo ah ah ah ah!,” David Draiman’s chin piercings and his Howie Mandel-like shiny dome. Never mind those questionable political views, which thankfully seem to have evolved in recent years.
All of those cornerstones of late ’90s / early ’00s culture are referenced in The Sickness, a short parody film about a disease that’s spreading faster than you can say “will you give it to me?” Writer/director Julian Hoffman delivers a stellar performance here that induced multiple LOLs here at the MS Mansion (Higgins found it particularly funny), so won’t you give this little bit of internet gold three minutes to cheer up your otherwise dreary day? Winter is coming, so sneak in those good times now… living just isn’t hard enough. Burn me alive inside.
