Anaal Nathrakh’s New Jam “Obscene as Cancer” Slaps Hard

Anaal Nathrakh’s first single from their new album A New Kind of Horror was a verifiable banger, eh? “Forward!” was all the things we’ve come to expect from Amon Amarth and more, making good on the band’s promise that the album would be “not a happy album, it is bitter, vengeful, sarcastic, sardonic, violent, terrified and horrified, terrifying and horrifying in equal measure.”

“Obscene as Cancer,” the latest single, is more of the same. Furious blasts, blood-curdling growls, operatic singing, and deliciously frosty riffs… in other words, Anaal Nathrakh! I’m not sure if this one is as catchy as “Forward!” but that one is gonna be extremely hard to top and will likely go down as one of the band’s greatest. Plus, saying one Anaal Nathrakh song is less catchy than another is like saying one donut is less delicious than another; they’re all absolutely delectable.
