Tonight’s Summer Slaughter Show Cancelled; Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, and Erra Announcement Substitute Gig
If you were looking forward to tonight’s Summer Slaughter stop at Soma in San Diego, CA, I’ve got some shitty news for you: the venue has announced that the concert has been cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances.” Which is a phrase I think we need to retire. Nothing is ever cancelled at the last minute due to foreseen circumstances.
ANYWAY, the silver lining, such as it is, is that three of the trek’s most popular bands — Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, and Erra — will instead play at Chain Reaction in Anaheim. That’s about ninety minutes north of the original venue, which is kinda sucky, although fans hopefully had that time allotted for watching other bands on Summer Slaughter, so at least they don’t have to worry about getting off of work or whatever.
Tickets to tonight’s gig are here. Remaining Summer Slaughter dates are as follows:
08/14 Tempe, AZ – The Marquee
08/17 Dallas, TX – Gas Monkey Live!
08/18 Houston, TX – House of Blues
08/19 Austin, TX – Empire Garage
