Watch: Lamb of God Perform Live without Chris Adler on Drums

With Chris Adler sitting out Lamb of God’s current tour, Lamb of God fans were greeted with a very odd sight Thursday night, the opening show of the second leg of Slayer’s farewell trek: Lamb of God without Chris Adler! Adler’s identity has become so synonymous with Lamb of God (and vice versa) that it’s weird to imagine anyone else playing drums. Must be even weirder for the other four dudes in the band!

Thanks to the magic of cell phones and the internet (still feels like witchery 20 years later), you don’t even have to imagine: you can take a look at some footage from this weekend’s shows featuring drummer Art Cruz (Prong, Winds of Plague). It’s a bit difficult to see Cruz in most of these, but you can hear him just fine, and from the sounds of it there’s a reason Adler hand-selected Cruz as his fill-in. If you have tickets to any of the remaining dates and had worries about Adler’s absence, you can, um, lay them to rest (sorry, lol)… you’ll be getting a full, top-notch LoG show.
