Let Conan’s New Track “Vexxagon” Launch You Into an Existential Crisis
As requested by beloved MetalSucks commenter Archdruid Grulog, here’s some Conan for ya. The barbaric doom pioneers are gearing up to release their latest installment of their “heaviest albums ever made” legacy, Existential Void Guardian. The first single from the album, “Vexxagon,” is a sludgy slow-build that will turn your brain to mush.
I have been listening to this track on repeat since it came out on Friday. It’s fucking infectious. “Vexxagon” manages to be positively mesmerizing while simultaneously beating your ears to a pulp with a meat clever — talk about a mind-fuck. “Vexxagon is an examination of the end,” comments vocalist/guitarist Jon Davis. “A journey through time where no soul has gone before us. We travel beyond the gates of the dead, flame held aloft issuing cries of exaltation, singing hymns of victory, choosing bravery in the face of crippling fear. Cower before the Existential Void.”
Stream “Vexxagon” below and let it send you spiraling into oblivion. Afterwards, if you’re able to get back in touch with reality, pre-order Existential Void Guardian here, coming your way September 14.
