Surviving Hellyeah Members Call New Drummer Rumors “ABSOLUTE FAKE NEWS”

The surviving members of Hellyeah have vehemently denied a rumor that they’re planning to replace the late Vinnie Paul with new drummer Daniel Davison (formerly of Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, and Underoath fame).

Actually, one might more accurately call the “rumor” a “troll,” since it seems to have begun life as an edit to the Hellyeah Wikipedia page. Nonetheless, the band has issued the following response:

The PRP notes that although Hellyeah “had been recording a new album prior to Vinnie Paul’s death last month,” they’ve made no public statements with regards to their future. I suspect we’ll hear those final recordings at some point — Vinnie Paul’s work has too much value to just sit in a vault somewhere — but beyond that, who knows.
