Night Verses Post Horror-Inspired Video for “Vice Wave”
Over the past several months I’ve taken quite a liking to Night Verses, whose Copper Wasp EP dropped in January only to be followed up in June with a full-length, From The Gallery of Sleep. The Los Angeles trio has injected fresh energy into the instrumental prog world, and as MS contributor Kayla noted, “They haven’t gotten carried away with the typical djeneric sound, instead taking on a more classic, jazzy approach.”
You can — and should — stream From The Gallery of Sleep in full on Spotify. But earlier this week the band released a music video for the album track “Vice Wave,” which we’ll post below. It’s as easy a way as any to get into Night Verses if you haven’t yet, as the track runs the full gamut of emotions they’re capable of, from pensive, restrained lows to soaring, heavy highs. The video is set up like a classic horror/slasher film intercut with footage of the band playing, so you get the best of both worlds — narrative and performance!
Check it out below. From the Gallery of Sleep is out now; pre-order here.
