Video: Marilyn Manson Makes a Fan Take off His Avenged Sevenfold Shirt
We all know the cardinal rule of concert shirts: don’t go to a show wearing the shirt of the band you’re seeing (like from PCU). But apparently Marilyn Manson doesn’t, which might explain why he was a jerk to a fan at the Madrid version of Download on June 28th.
As you can see in the video below, Manson has a bunch of fans join him onstage, including a dude wearing an Avenged Sevenfold shirt… who Manson then insists take off the shirt, because it’s not a Marilyn Manson shirt. The dude very obviously doesn’t want to remove his shirt, but what does Manson care, he’s the worst, and he insists until the dude loses the shirt.
Check it out:
What’s funny is that a) Kiss, the band Manson once referred to as “four gay dudes in Halloween costumes,” pulled the exact same dickhead move on an interviewer back in the day, and b) more importantly, it’s been suggested that Manson did this because fans were chanting for Avenged Sevenfold during his set, and aw, Manson was sore about it.
Bands, don’t do this to concertgoers. Then you’ll be a douche like this guy.
