Watch: Baroness Perform as an Acoustic Trio at Hellfest

Baroness delivered some unfortunate news earlier this week, as they revealed that drummer Sebastian Thomson had to fly home to the States from the band’s tour in Europe due to a family emergency. Thomson will be back with the band in a few days, but was forced to miss the band’s performance at Hellfest on Sunday, June 24th.

Never deterred — this band has overcome WAY more difficult situations — the remaining three members (John Baizley, Nick Jost and Gina Gleason), decided to work up a set as an acoustic trio:

“Tomorrow, June 24, at Hellfest, Baroness will be playing a very special stripped-down set as a three-piece. Due to an unforeseen family emergency, Sebastian Thomson must fly home for a few days. We send our love back with him, and look forward to his return next week. In the meantime, we hope you will enjoy hearing our songs performed in a unique way.”
