Video: Tremonti’s Mark Tremonti and Eric Friedman Watch Metal Music Videos
We had a helluva time when Mark Tremonti visited the MetalSucks Mansion in New York last month. Not only did we get the man himself to sit down and critique fan YouTube covers of his work with Alter Bridge, Creed and his solo band (the aptly named Tremonti), but we tapped him and solo band guitarist Eric Friedman for another fun video as well.
You may not know it, but Mr. Tremonti is quite the devout metalhead, having grown up in Florida during the heyday of the state’s burgeoning death metal scene in the ’80s and early ’90s. So we put his and Friedman’s knowledge to the test by loading up a playlist full of death metal cuts and plenty of other material, including classic clips from David Lee Roth and Ratt, new bangers from Power Trip and Code Orange, and a couple of the silliest metal videos knows to man… plus Attack Attack’s crabcore pioneering “Stick Stickly,” because why not. Tremonti and Friedman riffed off each other quite well; the only question is which one is Beavis and which one is Butt-Head?
Tremonti’s fourth album A Dying Machine just came out via Napalm Records; order it here.
