Violent Life Violent Death‘s Facebook bio reads simply, and accurately, “FIGHT RIFFS.” Featuring former members of Deception of a Ghost, A Stained Glass Romance, and Aria, the North Carolina band’s music is a Molotov cocktail of metallic hardcore, with venomous vocals over brass knuckle guitars and firing squad drums, like the sound of someone trying to tear your head off by the hair. We defy you to listen to the quintet’s meat grinder of new album, Come, Heavy Breath, and not immediately kick up a pit in your living room. You won’t be able to do it. You’ve been warned.
