Listen To Corey Taylor’s Isolated Vocals From Slipknot’s “Duality“

0

Never in my life did I see myself among the ranks who get to write snarky posts about Corey Taylor… but here I am. As I ponder who I’ve become and who I truly aspire to be, I can’t help but come to the bittersweet realization that this is my peak — the ultimate rite of passage at the MS Mansion.

Since it’s been a hot sec since the last time we posted any isolated vocals tracks and it’s also been a while since the latest update on Corey Taylor, why not kill two birds with one stone? Here, for your listening pleasure, are the final vocal takes from Slipknot’s “Duality.”

And no, the new Slipknot album is no further along than it was the last time you checked, but Taylor did have some very exclusive deets about the writing process thus far in an interview with Full Metal Jackie:

“Hearing some of the guys in Slipknot read and react to some of the lyrics that I’ve been writing has been fantastic. I know Clown was like, just blown away by how open and raw it all felt. It felt like the old days. It felt like the beginning when it was just – we were the wound and the fans were the scabs. Trying to get it to heal and we were all trying to heal together. That’s what this kind of feels like.”

If that’s not the edgiest thing you’ve ever heard, then my name’s Axl Rosenberg. Only time will tell whether Slipknot can truly deliver such a degree of heartfelt emotion. In the meantime, enjoy the isolated vocals below.
