Zeal & Ardor and Astronoid Announce Fall 2018 North American Tour

After a couple of botched opportunities I finally caught Astronoid live a couple weeks back opening up for TesseracT… and lemme tell you, MAN, OH MAN. Not only were they as phenomenal live as advertised — duh, as if that were ever even in doubt given how much we loved their last album Air — but every single damned person in that room was transfixed. My Instagram feed was even rife with crusty, old music industry veterans saying “I never watch shows from the floor anymore, BUT…” so you know this band is onto something.

Astronoid just announced a 2018 fall tour opening for fellow critical darlings Zeal & Ardor in what will surely make for a swell pairing of eclectic, outside-the-box metal. Zeal & Ardor will release their new album Stranger Fruit this week — check out the track “Built on Ashes” right here — but could Astronoid have a new one out by the time this tour rolls around (or during it) as well? Certainly seems possible! A man can hope. I look forward to the opportunity to catch Zeal & Ardor live for the first time as well.
