Comedian J.B. Smoove Shares Thoughts on Avenged Sevenfold, Asking Alexandria, Stone Sour and More
J.B. Smoove is an extremely accomplished stand-up comedian and his 2012 stand-up special That’s How I Dooz It made me laugh as hard as I have in my entire life. Still, I think a lot of folks (mostly white people, actually) know him best as Larry David’s sidekick Leon Black on the later seasons of Curb Your Enthusiasm, from which this scene is one of Smoove’s all-time greatest performances:
With that out of the way and your morning coffee hopefully not all over your keyboard, Loudwire sat down with Smoove a couple weeks back at Rock on the Range (where he was performing a stand-up set) to ask his thoughts on a number of bands playing the festival. Smoove, always quick on his feet, gave some, um… creative (and hilarious) answers. For example, when asked about Three Days Grace, he quipped:
“They are absolutely fabulous, because that’s the grace period before your landlord throw your ass out the house. You get a three-day grace period. ‘I told your ass the first day, get that damn rent money to me, but you didn’t listen.’ Your ass went out somewhere and spent all the rent money on something else, like some new girl you met, and now your three-day grace period for all your stuff is gonna be out on the sidewalk.”
Watch the clip below, including bits on Avenged Sevenfold, Asking Alexandria, Stone Sour, Tech N9ne and Black Veil Brides (“I love a black wedding, ’cause I’m a black guy”).
