Sinsaenum, Featuring Current and Former Members of Slipknot, Mayhem, Dragonforce, and Chimaira, Release New Song and Video
Sinsaenum, the not-quite-new-but-still-new-feeling supergroup featuring Mayhem’s Attila Csihar (although maybe not quite anymore?), Dragonforce’s Frédéric Leclercq, Best Beard in the History of Metal winner Sean Z. (ex-Dååth, ex-Chimaira), and Joey Jordison (Murderdolls), have released a new song, “Final Resolve,” along with an accompanying video. And it’s pretty good! It’s a mid-paced, relatively simple, undeniably catchy death metal song, kinda like Six Feet Under if Six Feet Under wasn’t so dumb and repetitive and boring. The best part, though, comes about halfway through the track, when Leclercq and co-guitarist Stephane Buriez (Loudblast) get to engage in some fun guitar pyrotechnics. Don’t stand too close, you’ll get your eyebrows singed off.
Check out “Final Resolve” below. Eagle-eyed viewers will note that Csihar isn’t in the clip — Leclercq says the vocalist is still a member of Sinsaenum, but because of scheduling, “He [only] contributed to some backing vocals and lyrics but basically had to step out of this album/tour cycle.” Oh well.
“Final Resolve” will appear on Sinsaenum’s new album, Repulsion For Humanity, which is out August 10 on earMusic.
