Video Premiere: Odd Palace, “Liar’s Attire”
Prog fans… get in here! We’ve got a special treat for you today: a new band — new to us, anyway, and likely to you — from Denmark called Odd Palace.
Odd Palace’s palette of sounds is, well… a bit odd, although if you’re a fan of Protest the Hero and Good Tiger you’ll have some idea of what to expect. The band mixes proggy, intricate musicianship with razor-sharp songwriting that doesn’t get lost in itself; “Liar’s Attire,” the video for which we’re premiering today, clocks in at under four minutes, and it’s not only musically complex (the devil is in the details) but insanely catchy. You’ll be singing the song’s chorus after just one listen, but we guarantee it’d take hours of practice to learn the track on any instrument. This is how modern prog should sound.
Things To Place On The Moon comes out on May 25th via Prime Collective. Check out the video for “Liar’s Attire” below and like the band on Facebook.
