Mutoid Man Release Little Richard Cover
When Mutoid Man first announced they were releasing a three-song covers EP, we had no idea, initially, what three artists they’d be covering. Now we know the answer — Tom Jones, Led Zeppelin, and Little Richard. Which is as unexpected of an array of musicians as you’d hope. Only one of them has a clear connection to metal, and none of them have a clear connection to each other. And they’re all really cool! Like, this is how you do covers, dude.
Only one thing makes the release of the third and final song bittersweet: it means we won’t get another rad cover next week. Aw, man!
Listen to Mutoid Man’s cover of Little Richard’s “Keep A-Knockin’” — now re-titled “Keepa Gnawkin’” — below. Below that, listen to the entire EP. If you like what you hear — which you will — you can buy the entire EP here for the price of your choosing (but don’t be a dick about it). Mutoid Man are on tour even as I type this.
