Metallica Incentivize 424 Pound Radio Personality to Lose Weight
You thought you needed to lose weight: as of this writing, Jeremi Schlader, appropriately known as ‘Big J.’ on Boise, ID radio station 100.3 FM The X, weighs 424 pounds. So that can’t be healthy. I also imagine it makes normal, everyday life a massive (no pun intended) pain in the ass.
Like many of us who attempt to lose weight, Mr. J. was looking for a little incentive to motivate him (besides the, y’know, not dying young thing). So he went online and made a video launching the #MetallicaDiet… the idea being that if he loses a hundred pounds (at minimum) by the time Metallica play Boise’s Taco Bell Arena (Oomph!) on November 28, all four members of the band will sit down and do an interview with him.
Amazingly enough, the band agreed.
Hey @BigJXman! We have accepted your #MetallicaDiet Challenge!!! Best of luck! pic.twitter.com/VKFo6WL0Pw

Very cool of Metallica to help Big J. out. I’m rooting for him to pull this off. In fact, I’ll sweeten the deal right now: if he loses at least one-hundred-and-ten pounds by November 28, Vince and I will also allow him to interview us. No need to thank us, that’s just the kindly of saintly guys we are.
