Video: Run the Jewels Discuss Their Love of Black Sabbath, Deftones, Melvins, and More

I am batshit obsessed with Run the Jewels. Obsessed. They have single-handedly renewed my interest in hip-hop. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

That the duo, El-P and Killer Mike, are metal-friendly shouldn’t be a shock; Rage Against the Machine’s Zack de la Rocha appears on their track “Close Your Eyes (and Count to Fuck),” and El-P has collaborated in the past with both de la Rocha and Trent Reznor. But in a new Revovler video, they demonstrate just how metal-friendly they are, and it’s well beyond what a lot of people (myself included) would probably assume. I’m thrilled. Let’s get a Melvins/RTJ tour booked, pronto.
