Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee Won’t Help the Los Angeles D.A. Prosecute His Son

Although it’s unclear whether or not their Oedipal conflict has been resolved, Methods of Mayhem’s Tommy Lee appears to have decided that at the very least, he doesn’t want his son Brandon to be in trouble with the law.

The younger Lee, you may recall, allegedly assaulted his father last month, busting the drummer’s lip and knocking him out cold. At the time, sources close to Brandon insisted that Tommy is an alcoholic, and that he was only acting in self-defense; Tommy denied these claims.

Now TMZ reports that Brandon ordered Tommy to “Get up old man and fight me” before punching his dad, after which he allegedly taunted him, screaming “”Look at you, motherfucker, you are knocked-out” (which is a weird thing to say to someone who is unconscious but whatever). Despite this, the MetalSucks of gossip sites says that Tommy “chose not to cooperate with the criminal investigation targeting his son… so the L.A. County D.A. has officially rejected the case.”

Tommy may have refused to cooperate because Brandon’s initial allegations were accurate, or he may have refused to cooperate because he doesn’t want to cause more problems for his offspring. Honestly as long as father and son patch things up I’m fine never knowing what really went down.
