Scissorfight’s New Video Laments Hipsters’ Penchant for PBR
My initial skepticism about the reunited Scissorfight due to the departure of lead-bellied, light-hearted vocalist Iron Lung was unfounded: the Chaos Country EP, released in 2016, was mighty, mighty fine. I saw them live in NYC last year, too, and it was an absolute hoot.
Now New Hampshire’s finest metal exports have returned with a new song called “Unfinished Business” and a video that’s appropriately campy given the band’s songs’ usual subject matter. The animated clip’s plot laments the liking “hipsters” have taken to PBR (that word in quotes because it’s very ten years ago, but so be it), and follows the four band members’ quest to take back cheap beer for themselves. A noble effort indeed!
“Unfinished Business” is one of several tracks the band recording at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio last year, and the band plans to release them all as a stop-gap measure until they finish their new full-length, which they plan to record in May. Check it out below via The Obelisk.
