Officially Official: Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators to Release Third Studio Album This Fall

The rumors are true: Slash has been at work on a new solo album with singer Myles Kennedy. A press release says the currently-untitled offering will be out in the fall, accompanied by “a full North American tour.”

This also lines up with reports that Axl Rose is writing new AC/DC music with Angus Young.

In other words: if there’s going to be a new Guns N’ Roses record featuring the reunited trinity of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan, it’s probably a ways off, despite rhythm guitarist Richard Fortus’ assertion last year that GN’R have been “recording a lot of stuff” and “assembling ideas” for their next album.

I don’t think this means we’ll never get a new GN’R album. I just think it means we may not get one before Axl Rose turns sixty. Guess we’ll revisit this in 2022.
