Dino Cazares Says There’s “No News” with Fear Factory, But He’s Working on Seventeen Other Projects
It’s been a minute since we heard anything about Fear Factory… but that doesn’t mean our old BFF, Dino Cazares, hasn’t been keeping busy. In a pair of tweets, the guitarist says that while there’s currently “no news” available regarding Fear Factory, he’s been working on a variety of projects, including…
- An industrial project with unspecified members of Die Krupps and Leæther Strip
- Jamey Jasta’s next solo album
- His own debut solo album
- Asesino
Regular readers familiar with my taste will be unsurprised that the prospect of new Asesino is the one I find most enticing. I assume the Dir Krupps/Leæther Strip thing will end up sounding like Fear Factory with the emphasis on dark synthwave elements instead of unlistenable Burton Seabell vocals. Jasta is Jasta, as monolithic and immobile and instantly recognizable as Stone Henge. We have no idea what Dino’s solo album will sound like, but word around the campfire is it’s straight-up klezmercore.
One of these seventy-eight projects will possibly release a single sometime before 2019. In the meantime, if you need a laugh, try seeing what happens when you go to Asesino’s Spotify page.

I appreciate the fans that want to know what’s going on with the band but I’m sorry to say that there is no new news.
