Clown from Slipknot is Doing a Solo Show

Shawn “Clown” Crahan (To My Surprise, Dirty Little Rabbits) has announced that his debut solo performance will take place at this June’s Montebello Rockfest in Montebello, QC.

It’s not clear what the percussionist will actually be doing for the show; maybe he’s got a back-up band and is gonna try his hand at being a frontman, or maybe he’s performing the kind of mind-bending spoken-word poetry for which his interviews are famous, or maybe he’s just gonna do some unaccompanied keg smashing. The only thing we know for sure is that Maggots everywhere are hoping the concert doesn’t go too well — it would be a shame for the praise to go Clown’s head, leading to a David Lee Roth/Van Halen ’85 situation.

No word yet on what Corey Taylor thinks.
