Axl Rose Calls Apple CEO Tim Cook “the Donald Trump of the Music Industry”

What did Apple CEO Tim Cook do to piss off Axl Rose?

The Guns N’ Roses singer recently took to Twitter to declare Cook “the Donald Trump of the music industry.” Given how Rose feels about Donald Trump, we can safely assume he didn’t mean this as a compliment. Unfortunately, Rose hasn’t elaborated.

While Fortune speculates that “Rose, a musician, could be referring in some way to [Apple Music]”, which streams GN’R’s catalog (as do many other services), Gizmodo is quick to point out that Apple Music is actually headed up by Rose’s old buddy Jimmy Iovine, not Cook. Maybe Rose is commenting on intel he received from Iovine?

Hopefully Rose chooses to enlighten us with a more detailed explanation soon.
