Dude from the School of Rock Television Series Cast as Ozzy Osbourne in Mötley Crüe Biopic The Dirt

More casting news for the upcoming movie adaptation of Mötley Crüe’s much-beloved group memoir, The Dirt: Tony Cavalero (and sadly not Russell Brand) has been cast as Ozzy Osbourne.

Wait… Tony Cavawho-o? I’ve never heard of this dude before, but apparently, he plays the Jack Black role in the television series version of School of Rock. In other news, there is a television version of School of Rock. Here he is acting:

As you probably noticed, Cavalero isn’t British. Don’t sweat it too hard, though, because some actors can do accents.

P.S. Surely they considered this dude for David Lee Roth, right?

The Dirt will likely be released in 2019. It’s  a Netflix production of a Jeff Tremaine film (Jackass, Bad Grandpa). The latest draft of the script was penned by first-time feature writer Amanda Adelson.
