New Tool Album Recording Sessions Moved Up To March?
Amongst yesterday’s revelations about an eventual new Tool album — in addition to the news that Maynard is almost finished writing lyrics and that Sebastian Bach and Buzz Osborne visited the band to hear the instrumental tracks — was this tidbit directly from guitarist Adam Jones via his Instagram account:
“Huge fun & honor performing all the new tunes for Guinea pigs Sebastian & #KingBuzz b4 the recording starts in April. Still instrumentals with Mjk in town working on killer lyrics. Exciting!”
But at some point between the time we reported on the news yesterday and right now, Jones’ post changed. Now it looks like this:
“Huge fun & honor performing all the new tunes for Guinea pigs Sebastian & #KingBuzz b4 the recording starts in March. Still instrumentals with Mjk in town working on killer lyrics. Exciting!”
Jones edited the post to change the month of recording from April to March! The rest of the text is unaltered. Very interesting.
No matter whether the album is recording in April or March, drummer Danny Carey’s promise that the new album will be out this year seems likely to be kept. At which point we can finally stop posting silly tidbits of speculation about when the new Tool album will come out. Huzzah!
